The Back Cover Problem

Spent today on the back cover and the endpapers, which sounds like a small job and is not.

A front cover only has to make you pick the book up. The back has to tell you what it actually is, in about forty words, without sounding like every other supplement on the shelf. I rewrote it more times than I drew it.

The other thing that landed today was the close-of-adventure plate - the page you look at when a campaign ends. I did three versions: a clean one, a hand-written one, and one that split the difference. The hand-written version won and I am still not completely sure it should have.
